Coasteering can be a dangerous and cold experience at times, mother nature and the Celtic ocean like to throw a lot at us, which we believe helps shape every individual experience.
Having said that the kit we have at our disposal these days is second to non and here at Coasteering Southwest we spare no expense when making sure its all up together to keep you safe & warm! We have 5/4mm thick wetsuits all year round to keep you warm, Circle one Buyouncy aids designed to keep you afloat & protected during the session & a wrap around helmet that even tucks your ears in nicely.
What to bring
- A pair of sturdy/stout footwear with grip and ankle support will be needed. Flip flops, Jandles, thongs, crocs, sliders, ballet shoes, German sandals, jelly shoes or the classic office shoe are all not acceptable haha! If suitable footwear is not brought with you unfortunately you will not be able to partake
- Swimwear to wear underneath your wetsuit. Guys, we do not recommend bringing board shorts as these are NOT comfortable in a wetsuit! No one likes chafing!
- A pair of shorts would be helpful to protect your tushie & our wetsuits! We do have some shorts if not but be warned they are pretty funky and a one size fits all affair 🙂
Apart from that, all we ask is that you bring along your sense of adventure, humour and an open attitude
